Southern California Edison GO5
Southern California Edison (SCE) is a 4-story office building and Central plant located in Rosemead, California. The space is comprised of MDF/IDF rooms, data center, AV rooms, open office and enclosed office spaces, atrium dining, conference rooms, cafe and other support spaces. tk1sc was hired to perform commissioning services to meet the requirements for fundamental commissioning under the LEED rating system.
The chilled water and heating hot water systems contain variable speed drives in order to modulate flow based on building load in order to maximize the efficiency of the water-side systems. The air handling units are equipped with variable speed drives, economizers and air flow measuring stations to increase the efficiency of the air-side mechanical system. The building automation system incorporates several strategies such as equipment optimal start, chiller/cooling tower staging, duct static pressure reset, and discharge temperature setbacks.
Commissioned HVAC Systems included:
- VAV Air Handling Units
- Chillers
- Boilers
- Pumps
- Cooling Towers
- Terminal Units
- CRAC Units
- Fan Coil Units
- Exhaust Fans
