This 9,000 SF, single-story community education center is the first LEED Platinum project in Orange County. The building is passively heated and cooled with natural ventilation strategies. Other sustainable design features include low-flow plumbing fixtures, waterless urinals, dual-flush water closets and photovoltaic solar systems. The project includes a 45.0 kW photovoltaic system and a 1.5 kW wind turbine. The facility operates as a zero net-energy building.
