Sleep Center at Hoag Health Center
The Sleep Center comprises a portion of the second floor within an existing two-story building. The facility consists of offices, exam rooms, sleep rooms and other miscellaneous support spaces. tk1sc was hired to perform commissioning services to meet the requirements for fundamental commissioning under the LEED rating system. The air handling unit is equipped with economizer controls that takes advantage of free cooling during optimal outdoor temperatures. The building automation system incorporates several energy saving strategies such as equipment duct static pressure reset, discharge temperature setback. Dedicated domestic hot water pumps have been installed along with aqua stats to maintain a constant loop temperature within the space while limiting the pump use. Automatic day light dimming controls are installed throughout for all perimeter spaces in order to take advantage of natural day light whenever possible.
