This underground plenum space was converted into a jewel box of a chapel for students to find peace through reflection and contemplation. With no access to the exterior, the space has been defined by artificial lighting that cleverly mimics light from the outside. The lighting design has been acclaimed for its excellence and its energy efficiency. Architecture by Gensler, with electrical engineering by tk1sc.
