Working with RJM Design Group and Robert Coffee Architects, the Lake Forest sports park is located on the corner of Rancho Parkway and Portola Parkway and covers approximately 86 acres.  Elements of the park include five ball fields, two basketball courts, two synthetic soccer fields, two playgrounds / tot lots, two restrooms / concession buildings, eight gazebo picnic structures, outdoor exercise equipment and hiking trails. The sports park also includes a 27,000 SF recreation center which includes gymnasium, classrooms and activity rooms.

tk1sc performed commissioning services to meet the California Green Building Code (CALGreen).

The building systems included rooftop package units equipped with economizers in order to take advantage of free cooling during optimal outdoor temperatures, building automation system to control / monitor the mechanical systems throughout the recreation center, lighting control system for the interior and exterior lighting and domestic hot water for the restrooms and meeting rooms.
