PROJECT TYPE
Residential

Park Place Apartments is a 980 unit luxury apartment community adjacent to mixed-use development and part of an overall master-planned community by The Irvine Company. The community features an array of amenities that includes three saltwater pools, a cardio theatre fitness center, and outdoor courtyards with barbecue areas and fireplaces. The Architecture was done by MVE+Partners, with landscape architecture by EPT Design and lighting design by tk1sc's StudioK1.

Lighting Design Solutions: Studio K1designed the lighting for all the public areas, amenity spaces, and exterior facades. A family of decorative exterior light fixtures was custom-designed to help differentiate the buildings from each other. The lighting accents the entries to the lobbies and amenity spaces with a unique facia for different buildings. A common decorative pedestrian scale pole united the long pathway that connects all the buildings with the multiple pool decks. Large decorative circular pendants added a modern feel to the residential lobbies, making the transition from classic architecture to the current clientele. We highlighted the classic architecture of the exterior of the building to draw attention to the building from the entry road and the freeway.
