PROJECT TYPE
Healthcare

tk1sc provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, energy + sustainability, technology, and lighting design services on this new 4-story, 100,000 square-foot medical office building. This project is located on the City of Hope Medical Center Campus in Duarte, CA, and provides office and administrative support to the Medical Center.

The project includes open-air offices, administrative and collaboration spaces, meeting rooms, private offices, and executive offices. tk1sc ensured that all of City of Hope’s design requirements were met and installed. This required design coordination with City of Hope, equipment manufacturers, the architectural design team, and the tk1sc MEP team to fulfill all requirements.

StudioK1 developed the lighting schemes for all the open office spaces, private office suites, conference spaces, public spaces, and the exterior and plazas surrounding the building. We also coordinated with our design team during the development of the lighting plans, verifying the client’s requirements for all the varying spaces were all met, and coordinated with the design-build contractor to bring the package within budget while maintaining the design aesthetic.
